Module 2

Orientation and Mobility

Students will learn how to help people to develop or relearn the skills and concepts needed to maintain their lifestyles and being able to travelling safely and independently within their home and in the community.

Module 3

Mobility, Gait, and Falls Evaluation

Students will attend several seminars about the evaluation of the degree of mobility and the risk of falling through various approaches in order to identify movement-related problems and to help people to move more efficiently.

Accessibility and Physical Environment

Students will learn about relevant needs and real problems related with specific physical environments (home and urban/rural environment; health and care environment).

  • Walkability Assessment of the Built Environment and Access to Transport Interfaces

Module 5

Exercise, Fitness, Body Composition and Mobility

Students will learn how to design specific physical exercise /activity solutions adapted to the individual functional capacity and also how to develop and implement strategies that encourage diverse groups of people to join and stay motivated to be active based on barriers and motivations.

Students will know about solutions to assist mobility and how to plan specific solutions adapted to the individual functional capacity.

Module 7

Human Services and Policy of Health, Mobility and Ageing

Students will learn how to plan and develop programs of Mobility and Active Ageing, based on health and social policies, on potential collaborations, and on analysis of needs and available resources.

Module 8


Students will have the opportunity to learn by doing about entrepreneurship, business models and innovation, as well as reinforce practice in a challenging online program, hands-on, from the idea generation to the solution pitching, on a stimulating collaborative and cross skilled context.
